Thank the Candidates Night at Beavercreek Pizza Dive: November 5

Thank the Candidates!

Join us Monday, November 5th as we Thank the Candidates. Many of the candidates for office that you’ll be voting on the next day will be on hand serving up the slices during our All-You-Can-Eat Buffet from 4:30 to 8. In exchange for their serving skills, we’ll be making a donation to one of our favorite causes.

Whether or not they get your vote, we hope you’ll join us in thanking them for running. Every candidate puts themselves and their families out there. It’s through their campaigns that we discuss issues and values. They make it happen. Without candidates with a wealth of views and ideas, it doesn’t work. 🙂

You get to decide whether or not you agree with them on Tuesday.

On Monday, we think we can all agree to thank them for vigorously and tirelessly participating in our democracy. It’s an amazing thing, this country we live in.

Representative Rick Perales for Ohio District 73 will be one of the candidates serving up the slices. If you don’t yet follow Rick on Facebook, click here (facebook.com/RepRickPerales/) and like his page. It will give you an idea of how hard our elected officials work for us. The man is everywhere, listening to everyone–and occasionally living the pizza life. 🙂 Just last month, this Beavercreek Rotarian and Representative for the Ohio House District 73 sponsored House Bill 405 as part of an effort to combat illicit drug trade in Ohio by making counterfeiting a corrupt activity crime. Having passed the Ohio State House and Senate, the bill was signed into law on October 23 by Governor Kasich. Find out more about Rick at peralesforohio.com and ohiohouse.gov/rick-perales.

Clerk AJ Williams, Greene County Clerk of Courts is seeking election to continue serving as your Clerk of Court. Click here (facebook.com/AJForClerk/) to like and follow his Facebook page. This Carroll High School and University of Dayton Grad is the former Greene County Recorder and Regional Director for Ohio Secretary of State John Husted. After the 5th, he can add Pizza Server Extraordinaire to his long list of accomplishments.

Also joining us will be Greene County Treasurer and Candidate for County Commissioner Dick Gould, CPA. Dick Gould has a lifetime of service to our community. He’s a Real Estate Broker, CPA, former officer with the Fairborn Police Department, and has a Master in Accounting degree from Miami. He’s been Greene County Treasurer for more than seven years, and also serves as an adjunct instructor at Park University at WPAFB. Click here (facebook.com/dickgouldcpa) to like his Facebook page and visit dickgouldcpa.com to learn why he’d like to earn your vote for County Commissioner.

Susan Lopez for Greene County Commissioner will also be serving up the slices. Raised in Fairborn and a current Beavercreek resident, Susan has worked in the county and for the county for many years. She is and has been involved with numerous organizations, agencies, committees, and task forces throughout Greene County. Find out more about Susan at electlopez.org.

We’ll also be joined by Cyndi Pauwels for Greene County Clerk of Courts. Cyndi Pauwels brings solid experience to the Clerk of Courts race with 6+ years as a police/fire dispatcher, combined 10 years as a deputy clerk at the municipal and federal court levels, and 6 years as a liaison between juvenile court, police departments, social service agencies, schools, and students. Find out more about Cyndi at pauwels4gccc.com.

Kim McCarthy for State Rep – OH 73 will be lending her serving skills, too. Kim is the founder of Greene County Progressives and an accountant with Mosier & Associates. Her community work includes as an organizer for March Against Monsanto and serving as Treasurer for Occupy Dayton. Find out more about Kim at kimmccarthyoh.com.

If you’re a candidate for public office in this year’s mid-term or a past candidate and office holder and would like to join us, I hope you’ll reach out to us at Teresa@BeavercreekPizza.com.

Eat Pizza. Thank a Candidate.
That’s a great way to spend the night before the election.
