Thank You Beavercreek

Thank you

Thank You Beavercreek!
We’re doubly appreciative this beautiful Friday.

First, I had the honor and privilege of signing paychecks for 15 amazing employees.

Nearly every time I run payroll, and I see not only paycheck costs, but also the accompanying taxes and filings, I’m reminded of my father. He used to say that he’d love to pay $1,000,000 in taxes (with the thought being that if you paid that much in taxes, you must be making boatloads of money). That’s how we feel. We measure success in how well we can serve our employees and our neighbors. The rest just seems to follow. The more great people we are able to employ and the more we pay them, the more successful our little store seems to become.

Right now, we start employees at $8.75 per hour, plus tips. We’re working to get that up to $9.00 per hour by the end of the year. That means that everyone, including your pizza delivery person, will make at least $9.00. That also means that employees who have been with us longer and who have more responsibilities are making even more. It’s always our goal to pay our people an hourly wage that we, and they, can be proud of. Our next goal will be to get that up to $10.00. When you shop our store, that’s what you’re supporting.

Thank you Beavercreek for patronizing our little, out-of-the-way store and allowing us the privilege of growing our business in this community.

And second, did you see? We beat Cassano’s in the second round of the Dayton Business Journal’s Pizza Madness? That’s just crazy. We beat the Pizza King. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who voted for us and all of you who got your friends and family and complete strangers to cast a vote for us, too. Next up in the bracket style competition, it’s us against Giovanni’s. That should be interesting.

On top of all that, it’s a beautiful spring day in Beavercreek. We hope you’ll stop by tonight for pizza.

Thank You Beavercreek!
