Your Step-by-Step Guide for Making Your Take-N-Make Pizza at Home
Your Take-N-Make Kit includes:
- dusting flour for your work surface
- pizza dough
- sweet garlic butter sauce
- homemade pizza sauce
- pizza cheese
- any additional toppings you ordered
At home, you’’ll need an oven (not a microwave), a standard home-size pizza pan or baking sheet, oil or cooking spray to coat your pan, a fork, and brush or spoon for Sweet Garlic Butter Sauce. A pizza cutter or knife is optional, but suggested.
First, wash your hands and read the recipe.
Preheat your oven to 450° (F). If cold, let the Sweet Garlic Butter Sauce come to room temperature.
Prepare your pan.
Spray your pan with cooking spray or brush with vegetable or olive oil.
Stretch your dough.
Sprinkle your work surface (about 2’ x 2’) with dusting flour. Remove your dough from the bag and dust with flour. Using your palms and fingertips, flatten and push the dough into a round disk about 1/2” thick. Gently rotate and stretch the dough (on the counter or lay over the backs of your hands to stretch and toss) until you have an 8″ circle for Bambino size or 12” circle for medium. Don’t worry if your dough isn’t perfectly round. Any shape tastes good. If the dough is tight or springs back, let it rest for about 5 minutes and then stretch again.
Prick the dough with a fork
Make lots of holes. They help prevent bubbles.
Place the stretched dough on your prepared pan.
Top with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings from your Take-N-Make Kit (or toppings you have at home) to within about 1/2” of outer rim.
Bake at 450° for 10 – 15 minutes.
Ovens vary. Begin checking your pizza at about 10 minutes (or sooner if you begin to smell it baking).
Bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Using mitts or towels to protect your hands, remove from oven.
Brush the crust with our Secret Recipe Sweet Garlic Butter Sauce, cut into slices and enjoy!
Any Pizza is available as a Take-N-Make (we like 8″ and 12″ best at home).
We’ll be happy to package any pizza as a Take-N-Make. The video is for a Medium Pizza. We recommend 8″ and 12″ pizzas. If you have a pizza pan, it’s probably a 12″ pan. If you’re ordering an X-Large or X-Treme pizza as a Take-N-Make, you may not have the matching pan size at home (although a half-sheet pan–cookie sheet– works well for our X-Large).
Insider Tip: We think our Tuesday Buy One Get the Same Size Cheese Pizza Free is a great night to get a Take-N-Make Pizza. Get one for dinner and then get the second as a Take-N-Make for another night. In our at-home experience, the ingredients freeze well for up to a month.
